Lateral recumbency
1. Positioning
If the procedure is performed under general anesthesia, the horse is placed in lateral recumbency with the displaced processes uppermost.
2. Preparation for surgery
Routine aseptic preparation and placing impermeable drapes is performed. The fluoroscope is positioned under the operating table and it is also draped.
