Approach for MIO to the dog proximal femur

Minimally invasive osteosynthesis can be performed to treat capital physeal fractures using pins. The use of fluoroscopy is mandatory. Preservation of blood supply is an advantage of using this method.

The pins are positioned percutaneously through a drill guide.

Reduction is performed in a closed manner and visualization is done via fluoroscopy.
