33B1.3   Partial articular fracture, lateral condyle, sagittal fragmentary

33B3.3 Sagittal fragmentary

Partial articular fractures of the lateral condyle in the sagittal plane result from valgus stress, of medium to low energy, often combined with a rotational component.

These fractures are not common. They may be associated with ligamentous injuries to the knee. They are challenging to fix in osteoporotic bone.
