Open reduction internal fixation

Severely displaced or comminuted pediatric nasal fractures will require open reduction as is done with adults.

In cases that there is a delayed diagnosis of a severely displaced pediatric nasal fracture, open reduction should be considered, regardless of fracture date. The potential disturbance in nasal growth should not dissuade an attempt at anatomic reduction.

Closed or open rhinoplasty are options for the challenging case.
