Frontal fractures of the radial facet of the third carpal bone can be non-displaced or displaced. Both instances present with lameness and joint effusion. The nature of the fracture is confirmed with radiographs.

These fractures are demonstrated with:
- Lateromedial (LM) views
- Flexed LM views
- Dorsolateral-palmaromedial oblique (DL-PmMO) views
- Flexed dorsoproximal dorsodistaloblique (flexed D30Pr-DDiO) (skyline) views
