3rd carpal bone: Frontal slab fractures of the intermediate facet

Frontal fractures of the intermediate facet of the third carpal bone can be non-displaced or displaced.
Both instances present with lameness and joint effusion. The nature of the fracture is confirmed with radiographs.

These fractures are demonstrated with:

1. Lateromedial (LM) views
2. Flexed LM views
3. Flexed dorsoproximal dorsodistaloblique (flexed D30Pr-DDiO) (skyline) views
4. Dorsomedial-palmarolateral oblique (DM-PaLO) views
