Frontal fractures of both facets of the third carpal bone
Frontal fractures of both facets of the third carpal bone can be non-displaced or displaced. Both instances present with lameness and joint effusion. The nature of the fracture is confirmed with radiographs.
Imaging
These fractures are demonstrated with:
- Lateromedial (LM) views
- Flexed LM views
- Flexed dorsoproximal dorsodistal oblique (flexed D30Pr-DDiO) (skyline) views.
