Anatomical differences between dogs and cats

1. Canine and feline patella

The dog patella is almond-shaped, it has approximately the same width and depth. It is approximately twice as long as it is wide or deep. The cat patella is slightly wider and flatter than the dog patella. Also, the dog patella has a consistent width, but the cat patella is narrower on its distal aspect than its proximal aspect.
