32-B2 are diaphyseal fractures with greater than 1 reconstructible wedge.
7 month old DSH with B2 fracture from unknown trauma.
32-B type fractures are wedge fractures of the femoral diaphysis. They differ from the C-Type fractures by the fact that, once reconstructed, the two main fragments have direct contact with each other.
B type fractures are typically caused by a combination of bending and compression forces. They may occur after a fall from height, being kicked or following blunt trauma. Depending on the amount of energy causing the fracture, there may be more or less comminution.
