1. Principles

If a periprosthetic acetabular fracture is realized and deemed stable, no further intervention is required.

Depending on fracture pattern, protected weight bearing should be considered from non-weight bearing to partial weight bearing using assistive devices for 6 to 8 weeks.

Physical therapy can be utilized to assist in mobilization and joint range of motion.
