42t-D/3.1   Toddler’s fracture

A toddler’s fracture is an undisplaced spiral fracture of the tibial shaft in patients usually younger than 4 years of age.

They are usually caused by torsional force and are often not seen on initial x-rays.

The left image shows the initial x-ray, where no fracture can be seen. The right image was taken 3 weeks post-injury.
