21u-M/7   Ulna, avulsion of coronoid

An avulsion fragment of the coronoid is part of the anterior capsuloligamentous injury associated with a posterior elbow dislocation.

Small coronoid avulsions do not generally result in elbow instability in the child.

Large coronoid fragments typically occur in conjunction with elbow dislocation and may require fixation.
