Highlights

This module covers the treatment options for:

  • Simple complete transverse fractures (12-D/4.1)
  • Simple complete oblique or spiral fractures (12-D/5.1)
  • Multifragmentary complete fractures (12-D/5.2)

These include detailed procedures on support with body binder/sling, splint, brace or cast, external fixation, and plate fixation. Three separate procedures for elastic nailing are presented.

The module is complemented with pages dedicated to patient assessment, complications and technical failures, and neurovascular anatomy.
