Wedge fracture with an intact wedge

This fracture is classified as AO/OTA 42B2 fracture. These are multifragmentary diaphyseal fractures of the tibia with an intact wedge fragment.

Once the fracture is reduced, there is contact between the proximal and distal fragments.

This x-ray reveals an intact wedge fracture of the tibia.
