Partial articular, lateral sagittal

Lateral sagittal fractures can be transtrochlear simple (13B1.1, as shown), capitellar (13B1.2), or transtrochlear multifragmentary (13B1.3).

Take care when approaching an apparently nonarticular lateral condylar fracture, as these are unusual. Preoperative imaging, including computed tomography, can be used to identify associated articular fractures.
