Complete articular, simple articular, simple metaphyseal

This fracture type is classified by the AO/OTA as 13C1 when both the articular and the metaphyseal components are simple fractures.

The mechanical properties of the distal humerus are based on a triangle of stability, comprising the medial and lateral columns, and the transverse condylar mass. In these fractures, all 3 sides of this triangle must be restored.
