Complete articular, multifragmentary articular

This fracture type is classified by the AO/OTA as 13C3. The metaphyseal fracture may be simple, wedge or multifragmentary.

The mechanical properties of the distal humerus are based on a triangle of stability, comprising the medial and lateral columns, and the transverse condylar mass. In these fractures, all 3 sides of this triangle must be restored.
