Telecanthus is the result of a nonreduced/malreduced nasoethmoid fracture. The typical deformity is an increased intercanthal distance combined with flattening of the nasal dorsum and often foreshortening of the nose.


The displacement of the frontal process of the nasal bone can readily be seen on an axial CT scan.
