Principle

The patient is assessed clinically at regular intervals by monitoring the occlusion radiographically to assure that union occurs and the fracture does not displace.

Case example

Fracture in the transitional zone of posterior body/mandibular angle.

The tooth in the line of fracture (right mandibular angle) had to be carefully removed. No further measures were taken.
